How do you set up review requests in Chirply?

Open Reputation, add a location and attach its review destinations. Configure the review page, preview the experience, then share its permanent link or QR code. For a personal request, choose a contact and the delivery option. Give customers equal access to public review destinations and track private feedback separately from published reviews.

Choose a review destination and an invitation moment

Choose a milestone your team can identify consistently, such as a completed service visit. Invite customers based on that milestone and let them describe their experience in their own words. Use the public review URL for the correct business location and check that the destination allows review requests.

For Google, use equal review access for customers regardless of their experience, with voluntary feedback and no incentive tied to the review. Google's policy prohibits selectively soliciting positive reviews. Keep a private service-recovery process alongside the public review opportunity.

A public review, private feedback and a website testimonial have different completion checks. Verify a public review at its source. Assign an owner to private feedback. For a testimonial you want to reuse, obtain approval for the wording, attribution and intended placement.

Create and preview the review page

The current Reputation screen provides a permanent review link for each location and a separate personal-request flow.

  1. Open Reputation. In Add a location, enter the location name, optional address and optional Google review link, then choose Add location. This creates a Chirply location record; manage the actual public listing with its provider.
  2. In the location card, find the review-sites form. Choose the site, enter the customer-facing button label and HTTPS review URL, then choose Attach review site. Check each destination against the intended business.
  3. Open Review page. For equal public-review access, choose Offer review sites to everyone. The initial Route by experience setting routes a Bad answer to private feedback only; choose and save the routing that fits your destination's review policy.
  4. Review Ask for name, phone and email, which starts on. Those fields are optional for visitors; personal request links already identify the contact. Review the welcome question, thank-you message and button colour. Blank messages use the defaults; each custom message allows up to 300 characters.
  5. Choose Save review page and confirm Review page saved. Use Preview from the location's Review link box to exercise both Good and Bad paths. Preview mode lets you check the journey without saving responses or counting review-site taps.
  6. Use Copy for the permanent link or QR code for the 1024 × 1024 PNG. For an NFC card, write that same URL using your card's own writer. Test the printed or programmed result with a phone before distributing it.

Send a personal request with a clear owner

In Ask for a review, choose the location and contact. Copy a link creates a personal link without sending it. Text it sends from your connected number; Email it sends from your sending address. Those delivery actions contact the recipient and record the communication. Review recipient, wording and connected-provider usage before sending.

For an illustrative message template: Thank you for choosing [business] for [service]. Would you share your experience at [review link]? We welcome your honest feedback. Replace the placeholders with verified details and choose the contact channel appropriate for that customer.

Start with one controlled request. Confirm the personalized greeting, destination, private-feedback path and public-review access. Give a teammate responsibility for handling replies and feedback before adding reminders. Workflows can use the send review request action when you are ready to automate a verified milestone.

Keep the permanent link stable when it has been printed or written to cards. Reset link replaces it and makes previous links and QR codes inactive. Use that control only as a deliberate replacement with a distribution plan.

Check the result at the right stage

Recent responses & request links shows the visitor or contact, location and recorded outcome. Private feedback & recovery shows feedback and follow-up cases. Work a case through its recorded status and keep notes on the action your team took.

A review-site tap confirms a navigation event. A private-feedback response confirms a submission to Chirply. Confirm a published public review in the destination or a synchronized review record. Keep these counts separate when reporting performance to a client.

If a review button is missing, inspect the location's attached destinations and saved routing. If a personal message fails, check the contact channel, connected provider and communication error. If a QR code opens the wrong place, compare its encoded URL with the location's current permanent link.

Finish the pilot by asking a teammate to repeat the journey from the actual printed QR code or shared link. Record which location, routing choice and destinations you tested, along with the person responsible for feedback.

Readiness checklist

  • Correct business location and review URLs checked
  • Equal public-review access saved
  • Both preview paths inspected
  • Printed QR or NFC destination tested
  • Personal-request recipient and sender reviewed
  • Feedback owner and public-review verification defined

Record the account, test date, result and responsible person for each check. Use this as your handoff record.

Common questions

Does a review-site click prove a review was published?

A click records a visit to the destination. Verify publication from the public review itself or a synchronized review record. Report requests, clicks, private responses and published reviews as separate stages.

Which setting gives everyone access to review sites?

Open the location's Review page settings, choose Offer review sites to everyone and save. Preview both experience paths to confirm public destinations remain available after private feedback too.
