Chirply beats Canva on the last mile: the design editor and the media library live inside the platform that already sends the email, builds the funnel page and schedules the post, so a graphic never has to be exported, renamed and re-uploaded to be used.
Chirply wins because the artwork and the thing that sends it are one product. A design or an uploaded file is immediately available to emails, funnel pages, social posts and campaigns, and every asset the platform generates is filed into the same library automatically.
Canva is an enormous, mature creative ecosystem: millions of templates, a huge stock photo, video and audio library, brand kits, video editing, presentations, print fulfilment, and a collaboration model whole marketing teams already live in. Nothing here claims parity with that.
Canva publishes a free tier, a paid plan for one person, and a per-seat team plan with a minimum seat count, plus enterprise pricing on request. Figures differ by country and billing term, so check the pricing page for the current numbers in your region.
| Decision point | Chirply | Canva |
|---|---|---|
| Core product | All-in-one CRM and marketing platform with a media library and design editor inside it | A dedicated design suite with a very large template and stock ecosystem |
| Design editor | Multi-page canvas with text, shapes and images, solid and gradient fills, curated web fonts, layering, rotation, opacity, undo and redo, and browser-side PNG export | Deep editor with templates, stock media, video, animation, AI generation and print output |
| Media library | One workspace library every feature files into, including AI-generated images and funnel, social and AI Studio uploads | Cloud storage for your uploads and the designs you make in Canva |
| Where the work goes | Straight into emails, funnel pages, social posts and campaigns in the same product | Export it, or connect an integration, then upload it into whatever sends it |
| Machine access | Asset and design capabilities run over the REST API, the MCP server and the in-app Copilot | A developer API and integrations, but not one action registry shared with a CRM |

Canva's job is making the artwork, and it is superb at it. Chirply's job is running the business the artwork is for. The Design Studio exists so the everyday graphics an operator needs, a social image, an email header, a flyer, a coupon, do not require a second subscription and a round trip through a downloads folder.
Anything the platform stores centrally registers into one library: files a person uploads, images generated by AI, and media that features such as funnels and the social composer put in R2 under their own prefixes. That is why a design can pull a photo the funnel builder saved last month without anyone hunting for it.
Fonts come from a curated list, a gradient is a from, to and angle triple rather than arbitrary CSS, and element geometry is unrotated position plus a rotation. That constraint is what makes the browser export pixel-identical to what you saw while editing. It also means no video, no animation, no print fulfilment and no stock library. Those are Canva's, not ours.
Canva is a per-seat subscription on top of everything else a team pays for. Chirply's editor and library are part of the plan, so the comparison is not editor against editor, it is one bill against two.
For the everyday graphics an operator makes, social images, email headers, offers and flyers, yes, and the result is already where you need it. For video editing, presentations, print orders or a stock library, Canva remains the better tool and plenty of teams keep both.
Multi-page designs with text, shape and image elements, solid and gradient fills, curated web fonts, layering, rotation, opacity and locking, undo and redo, built-in templates plus templates your workspace saves, and export of a page as a PNG rendered in your own browser.
Your own uploads, anything the platform has already filed into the workspace media library, or AI generation run on your workspace's own OpenRouter key, which lands the result in the library as a first-class asset.
